How much does a real estate listing video cost?

By Brian Jones, co-founder, engineering and Talyn Jones, co-founder, product, Frameworthy.

A listing video made from the photos already on the MLS costs $99 per listing at Frameworthy, with no film day. A filmed walkthrough from a videographer is priced per shoot and depends on travel, drone work and editing time, so quotes vary by market and by home.

What are you actually paying for in a filmed listing video?

A videographer's price is mostly time: the drive to the property, an hour or two on site, drone flights if the lot warrants them, and the edit afterwards. Every one of those scales with the house and the distance, which is why quotes are per shoot and why the $250K listing rarely gets one.

Scheduling is the hidden cost. Photos and video are often two different vendors and two different appointments, so the video lands days after the listing is already live and the first weekend of showings is over.

Why is photos-to-video a flat price?

Frameworthy starts from the photos you already paid for, so there is no travel and no shoot. Each photo becomes a moving shot, the shots are assembled into one walkthrough, and the tour is delivered in 16:9 for the listing plus 9:16 and 1:1 for social. That is one job of roughly the same size for every home up to 20 rooms, so it is one price: $99.

Agents who commit to three listings a month pay $85 each ($255 for 3 credits, good for a month, nothing that renews). Brokerages with shared branding and one invoice get a quote.

When is a filmed video still worth it?

When the story of the home is the land, the view or the way light moves through it at dusk, a filmed shoot with a drone earns its fee. Photos-to-video shows what the photographer captured and nothing more; it cannot add a sunset the photos do not have.

For the rest of the inventory, the goal is a walkthrough on every listing on the day the photos go live. That is what a flat price makes possible.

Questions

Is there a subscription?

No. You pay per listing, or buy three credits at once if you list often. Nothing renews on its own.

Does the price change with the size of the home?

No. $99 covers up to 20 rooms, three aspect ratios and your branding, whether it is a condo or a five-bedroom. Pick 1080p at checkout if the photos were shot by a photographer.
